Dental hygiene is important for your pet’s overall health and wellbeing. During a routine inspection, our vets assess the condition of your pet’s teeth, gums and jaw bones.
They can also provide the necessary treatments to prevent future deterioration and discomfort. Book a dental appointment for your furry friend today.
Dental procedures are carried out while your animal is under a general anaesthetic. Usually, an inspection, with cleaning and scaling, is all that’s needed. If your pet needs additional treatment we'll discuss this with you.
Dental procedures are short, however we keep your pet for most of the day to observe them as they recover from anaesthetic. You’ll be given a prescription for medication for your pet if needed, dependent on their treatment.
Our vets will give you plenty of tips for taking care of your pet after their specific dental treatment.
Always after anaesthetic, it’s important to keep your pet warm for the first night especially. Cover them with a blanket and let them rest in a warm space. They usually recover within a day.
As always, give them access to water and their favourite food and loving care when they seek it. Our friendly team is a phone call away if you have any concerns.
