Our Services for Equines

Vaccination: Protect your horse with routine vaccinations against preventable diseases, such as, Equine Influenza, Tetanus and Equine Herpes Virus (EHV).

Microchipping: A microchip allows your horse to be easily identified and returned to you if they get lost or stolen. In Ireland, equines are legally required to be microchipped and to have an equine passport. Our team assist with both.

Surgery: Our team provides castration and other routine surgical procedures for equines.

    Tests and Scans: Avail of our in-house laboratory tests and diagnostic scans for early detection and effective treatment of illnesses.

    Dentistry: Maintain your horse's oral hygiene and health with routine dental inspections and floating to reduce sharp edges.

    Reproductive Health: We provide a broad range of services in this area inclusive of ultrasound scanning of mares.

        Additional Supports for Horses

        From time to time horses can experience other common issues e.g. lameness, skin irritation (mud rash) and metabolic disorders. For any concern you have regarding your horse's wellbeing, contact our expert team for assistance.

        Our additional supports for horse health:

        • Our in-house faecal analysis means your horse will receive the most effective worm treatment when needed.
        • Referral of more complex health issues and scans (MRI) to our associated specialists.
        • A range of products to support horse health, including equine supplements and medication, are available from our shop.

        Equine Transport

        Our veterinary team maintains close links with the Department of Agriculture and transport agencies to ensure that horses meet the most up to date transport requirements worldwide. As a registered client you'll have our supportive team to help prepare your horse for travel.

        Some key information to assist you:

        • Allow plenty of time to prepare your horse with the exact treatments and documents they need for each country.
        • Your horse's passport (which is valid for their lifetime) must be up to date with their identity, microchip number and their Unique Equine Life Number (UELN).
        • Equine passports must be obtained from an approved Passport Issuing Organisation (PIO)
